Silent Key · Perris, California · HHH Net #977 · OMISS #14035

Sam built HamSpace in March 2023 so his friends on the net could talk in real time while they waited for their turn - and it grew into a whole community. HamSpace.club exists because his friends wanted to keep it going. What follows is Sam in his own words, from his QRZ page.
"HamSpace.me is where I spend my Social Media time"
"A fun Social Media Alternative for the Ham Radio community, licensed family members and friends. Free to use, works on all mobile devices, and pc's."
On the air
"My radio time is usually taken up by the 40 Meter HHH Net - a Worked all States, DX and Awards Net on 7.190 every day, night or morning depending on where you are at 07:00 UTC."
"I received my Technician License in 2006 my General Class License in 2007. Special Thanks to: Edd Dickens KE6M for pushing me into Ham Radio along with Robert Dorchuck W6VY and Richard L. Measures AG6K for your patience teaching me high voltage amplifier repair and theory... all are silent keys now."
"I have a Life Time Member Number of 977 on the HHH Net a 40 Meter, Worked all States, DX and Awards Net located on or about 7.190 every night at 07:00 Zulu. Also a Life Time Member of OMISS (O.M International Sideband Society) Member Number 14035. I highly recommend these 2 groups to everyone and also the free download of NetLogger."

The station
"This is my Perris, California Station Location." Perris - established 1885, an old railway city with a record high of 114 degrees.

"I also have 10 Meter, 2 Meter and 70 Centimeter vertical antennas along with my Cushcraft A3S that has 3 elements on 10, 15, 20 and the 40 Meter add on kit. I enjoy building antennas and want to build a 17 Meter Yagi soon or as I like to say 'a Uda Antenna' since Shintaro Uda was the first one to come up with the idea and design in the first place."
Sam also wrote up how-tos for other hams: winding your own RF choke, a mono band 80 meter half-wave wire antenna (no tuner needed), testing the 3-500Z amplifier tube and fixing the Astron power supply meter.
Drag racing
"I left radio for several years as Drag Racing was taking all my free time and money LOL. I just recently 10/15/21 started building another Radio Station and now my Drag Race, Bracket Car (a 1962 Chevy II) with its 3rd new 355 Chevy engine just sits in the Garage. I can thank my Father for my Radio Hobby and my Uncle for my Drag Racing and Car Building addiction. In the 1970's when I was a teen most every weekend was spent at the Orange County Dragway in California as my Uncle was the major sponsor of the LA Hooker a Top Fuel Funny Car and World Finals Winner."
